SMScaster.com spam / scam

This was the first time ever I got a SMS spam. It said:

Visit us at SMSCaster.com for FREE ! You have Won £2,500,000.00 Pounds (GBP). Email: eurodraws23@hotmail.co.uk with your name, phone number and claim code:EU2k1
Sender: +34603147561

My initial WTF was: What the hell is SMSCaster? Apparently it is SMS-spammers weapon of choice. A piece of software which can spit out a lot of garbage using your mobile phone connected to your PC.

Then again with Google, I found two instances of people complaining about the same thing. 1) from Australia and 2) from USA. Looks like SMSCaster is only means to an end, it is the utility doing the nasty stuff.

My second WTF was: Why an earth somebody in Spain (+34) wants to claim, that I have won money there? I tried doing a reverse phone number lookup, but there seems not to be any of them available.

Spain seems to be the primary source of Nigerian scam or 419 scam nowadays. Some journalists have followed up on some e-mail spam and they seem to originate from Spain. Also there are news, that Spanish officials have arrested suspects running a Nigerian scam ring.

Hello.
I received on November 3rd 2016. A text message from SMS caster. It said. Seeking my partnership in transferring $62,478,850.00 left behind by my client. For more info. They left the phone number which is 1-204-297-6167. It's a good thing that I'm intelligent person because I knew right away it was a scam.

Whoa! That is a really good question. How can one remove money? Or, how can one remove money to an email address? Maybe one actually can remove money from an email address, but to an email, I dunno.

Ultimately, I'm pretty sure I have no idea what you're asking there.

Alfred, I received the same thing. I'm also in Philippines. Can I know some of your background to find some similarity between us? I'm a fresh graduate preparing for my board. I searched Martin Zielke and the Ma. Jerome who just died he mentioned.They are real persons and they're really involved in banking (i don't know the nomenclature). I replied and suddenly the email was not found. Can I know what happened after to you?

These spammers 'SMSCaster' have arrived in Kenya (a country in East Africa). I received a text on my phone claiming that "congrats, your mobile number has won 500,000.00 GBP from PORSCHE COMPANY LTD. TO CLAIM CONTACT US WITH TOKEN PIN (PT-88-X8) VIA: PORSCHE.INT

Sms caster .com bet365 promo text me to in Australia saying my number won me $6,500.000 £ smscaster bet365 promo code.....
I've never put on a bet, let alone used bet365, so it has to be a scam. Just thought I should let others no of this low act.....

I also received one from cal corry saying I have to claim a beneficiary to help the poor citizens in my country and he said he got my number from DFA it was so sketchy since I never engaged in DFA and personal contact info must be confidential haha pls don't be fooled

Hello. I also got a message at 3am today saying: congratulations yo mobile number has been awarded £500,000.00 GBP from PORSCHECO MPANY LTD, To claim contact us with token #(PL-X9-98) Via token.
I then wondered why in the early wee hours n it was sent from a local number n looked true for a minute 😟

hi i recieved similar of this . somebody texted me and says he has a urgent noble proposal, he likes my details i already gave it, and now he is asking for my bank details. and i change my mind because i am afraid of his proposal, and i knew it is scam, i just realized very late. i didnt give to him my bank details. if i give my name address and contact number do you think he can still get into my bank account? do you think he can still take the money that i have? im from tge philippines.

Hi Jiffery , I'm in Australia and just got a similar message from SMScaster
The message said someone with the same surname as mine died and to contact SMScaster to find out my inheritance..haha...is all a scam.
PS,..I think your bank money is safe..
If they don't have your banking detail, your safe..
But contact your bank to tell them to be aware of.. ANY SUSPICIOUS TRANSACTIONS..STAY SAFE MY FRIEND.
