Ran out of luck (and fuel) in Hill Climb Racing

The game has been reviewed as a major time suck. Don't get me wrong, the game doesn't suck, it just sucks my (and 70 million other players') time. 

I was playing with my iPad and in Desert-stage and managed to land on front wheel with a motocross bike. The trouble was, that it was evenly balanced. It wouldn't fall on either side, it just stuck there no matter what I did. Eventually I just run out of fuel. See the pic!

Darn! No new record for that attempt.

but it's often linked to "luck" because the game's physics and fuel placement can be tricky, making you overshoot/undershoot or get stuck, especially with inconsistent "out of fuel" detection (like stopping backward). To beat this, use the slow-and-steady method, manage throttle carefully, learn jump timing, use fuel-boosting parts, and know your vehicle's fuel timer

AI comment almost makes sense to a person who never played the game.

To anybody how actually has played will know the "slow'n'steady" won't get you far. Additionally, trying to get the motorcycle into that position I managed to get it is impossible. Can not be done 2nd time.
